HOTEL REVIEW:  The Boath House Hotel, Invernesshire, Scotland

Once described as the most beautiful Regency House in Scotland, the Boath House Hotel is a true gem in Northern Scotland. Set within 20 acres of gardens including its own organic kitchen gardens and pond, the hotel occupies 8 lovingly decorated bedrooms, each unique in its own rights – from stunning four poster-beds to bathrooms with two bathtubs for the swim for two. The Michelin Star restaurant overlooks the hotel pond and seats 26 guests. Let head chef Charlie take you on a journey of different tastes while soaking in the atmosphere in the candle lit dining room. After dinner guests can relax in the library, the whiskey bar or the drawing room. The hotel is a parlour of relaxation marked by the hospitality, passion and dedication of its staff.

HOTEL REVIEW:  ELLENBOROUGH PARK, The Cotswolds

By Louise Murray

The Mantis Collection who also own the Draycott in Chelsea opened this hotel in April 2011. It is a beautiful country house with views over Cheltenham Racecourse.

There are 62 bedrooms in total located in the Main House as well as converted outbuildings and the purpose built Woodland Court.

We arrived late on Friday night and were greeted at our car by the Doorman who whisked away our cases. Our ‘luxury’ room was in the Ellenborough Wing which is a short walk from the Main House (approx 100 yds). The rooms are stylishly decorated by Nina Campbell. We had a walk in wardrobe and a bathroom boasting 2 x sinks, roll top bath and separate shower with underfloor heating. Fabulous!

Dinner on Friday was in the Tudor Club brasserie which is the more relaxed and cosy option. The food was delicious. On Saturday, we had breakfast in the more formal Beaufort Dining Room – again it was top notch. During the day we went on a long walk (to work off some of the food..!) as well as a swim in the heated outdoor pool before flopping in the spa for a massage. The spa is not very large so I recommend booking in advance.

Dinner on Saturday night was a more formal event – we enjoyed drinks in the Great Hall before embarking on the fine dining menu created by David Kelman (ex Bodysgallen & Lower Slaughter). The food was faultless.

LOCATION: great for exploring the Cotswolds (30 miles from Stratford / 12 miles from Broadway / 18 miles from Chipping Campden)

Perfect for: families as well as couples keen to escape London and enjoy some time in the countryside.

Professional Photographer service to ensure lasting memories of your vacation

Too often our own amateur attempts at capturing the magical moment on a vacation fail. So we thought it would be fun to be able to offer your clients the opportunity for a professional photographer to capture those special moments. A bespoke service that can be for any duration - some may like just a quick session, others for several days to capture the different sights and locations. You will receive the images on a CD and we have even designed an 'e-card' service for you to send a postcard back home during your trip. Our photographer is a close friend to NoteWorthy, and has been working with us for a while. She makes it all very informal and every client loves what she produces for them. Drop us an email to find out the prices.
